Since the PS2 isn't forwards-compatible with the PS3, it ain't possible to get GTA4 to work on a PS2, no matter where you've heard or read about it. The only way to play this on PS2 would be it it got released as a PS2 DVD-game, but since Rockstar didn't do that when it was released, they surely won't now.
